Old Time Fiddle Outfit

This is a beautiful fiddle. The hand applied varnish has been antiqued and distressed. This is not a tacky, kind of, sort of, squint your eyes and it "might" look old antiquing job. This is done very well and does add a lot of character to the instrument. This is hand carved from solid pieces of European Spruce and Maple. The fingerboard is Indian Ebony and the Fittings are Indian Rosewood. The top and back are hand graduated and the tone is quite good. By default we are stringing it with Perlon strings for a warmer tone, but by request we can put on dedicated fiddle strings that will have a brighter tone.

The Fiddle is setup here in our shop to ensure that it is done right (we have done thousands of fiddle setups). This is setup for fiddle styles making things like double stops easier.

Included is an oblong case, Brazilwood bow, and rosin. The Fiddle is a 4/4 (full size) instrument. Smaller sizes are available by request.
