A rewarding instrument for the advanced player. This is a Scott Cao replica of the famous 1714 "Soil" (pronounced swah) Stradivarius violin. The Soil has a broad tonal range with a warm haunting voice.

The STV-850 Soil is entirely hand made by a single master violin maker. The top is carved from Italian spruce and the maple is Bosnian. There is an Indian ebony fingerboard and Hill style ebony fittings. This violin has been distressed (artificially aged) by hand and looks simply stunning. The violin is fitted with a French Aubert Bridge and Dominant strings.. There is a single fine tuner for the E string.
