This is the Black Mountain Dulcimer model 36 with an added (internal installation) pickup. The acoustic tone is identical and aside from a 1/4 inch jack, there is no sign that this is not a standard acoustic mountain dulcimer. Perfect for the player that may need to plug in for performance or recording.

The Model 36 is an hourglass dulcimer with a solid spruce top and laminated back and sides. The solid top improves the tone quite a bit over the all laminated model dulcimers, yet still comes in at a price well below the all solid models. This model has a 6-1/2 fret.
