KM-150E
As of late 2012, KM-150 production is now overseen by the team that makes the Master models (KM-900 and higher). The tone has improved, while the finish quality is not quite as good. We are actually very happy with the trade off!
Need a good quality acoustic mandolin with a pickup? This mandolin sounds surprisingly good, and after our extensive setup work, the mandolin is a joy to play. We have taken this one step further and added an internal pickup.
Need a good quality acoustic mandolin with a pickup? Here at Folkmusician, we are big fans of the Kentucky KM-150. This mandolin sounds surprisingly good, and after our extensive setup work, the mandolin is a joy to play. We have taken this one step further and added an internal pickup. The pickup is passive and works best with an external preamp (not included), though it can be used without one as well. Traditionalists will be happy knowing that there is no sign of the pickup other than the 1/4" jack.
